Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray's hopes of holding the party's election rally at the Shivaji Park ground were dealt a final blow on Thursday, when the Supreme Court denied the party permission to use the venue. The SC rejected the plea on grounds that the area has
been declared a Silence Zone.
Thackeray had moved SC after the high court rejected its demand a few days ago.
Talking to the media in Nashik, MNS chief Raj Thackeray expressed his unhappiness with the order.
"I was expecting that SC would grant me permission," he said.
