The Vile Parle police is on the lookout for absconding 32-year-old autorickshaw driver who allegedly murdered another autorickshaw driver in the same locality for a paltry sum of Rs. 1,000 on Saturday evening.

According to Vile Parle police, Jaykesh Singh, a resident of Nalasopara fought with 35-year-old Harishchandra Darbar demanding his Rs. 1,000 back, which the latter denied.

Assistant police inspector N Desai, from Vile Parle police station, said, “The duo had an argument near Vitthal Co-operative housing society at Vile Parle East. The fight turned physical and Singh, who is currently absconding, beat up Darbar brutally.”

Darbar was rushed to RN Cooper hospital where he was declared dead. The Vile Parle police has filed a case of murder against Singh and are currently looking for him.
