Flight operations at Mumbai airport here were affected on Thursday for over 20 minutes after the tyre of a private charter aircraft burst leading to closure of the main runway.
The main runway was closed for about 24 minutes due to a tyre burst of a non-scheduled operator aircraft, a
Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) spokesperson told PTI in Mumbai tonight.
Due to the closure of the runway a JetLite flight was diverted to Ahmedabad, the spokesperson said.
The main runway remained closed between 20.58 hrs to 21.22 hrs, the spokesperson said, adding the flight operation is now back to normal.
