Hours after HT reported that the University of Mumbai had made an error in BA graduate Swapnil Bhambre's mark sheet by affixing a photo of a female student, the varsity corrected the error.

But the ordeal is far from over for the Ambernath resident. Bhambre, who wants to pursue a MA course, says that the deadline for admission in MA courses expired long ago.

"The day HT carried the report, I got a call from the university in the afternoon. An official told me that my mark sheet has been corrected and that I can collect it from the university office," said Bhambre.

Bhambre told the university official that he wouldn't be able to collect the mark sheet as he had some family-related work.

"So they told me that they would courier it to my college where I can collect it."

"The next day, I got a call from my college informing me that they have received my corrected mark sheet," he said.

Bhambre collected his new mark sheet the same day.

"Now, the question is how will I get admitted to a college in this academic year? I am going to write to the vice-chancellor and the concerned departments to grant me an admission in any college near my locality," he added.
