Union agriculture minister Sharad Pawar has said that victory in other states won’t come so easily for the Congress, which is celebrating its win in the recently-held Assembly elections in Karnataka.

Pawar said the UPA would have to work hard for the elections in states such as Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh . “It will not be as easy as it was in Karnataka,” Pawar said, while speaking to reporters in Satara.

Pawar reiterated that the UPA has become weak following the withdrawal of support by two major parties.

“Our party has started preparing for the Lok Sabha elections as it is difficult for smaller parties like us to fight elections at short notice,” Pawar said.
