20-yr-old gangraped

A 20-year-old B Com student was allegedly beaten up and gangraped by two men in Nangloi in West Delhi on Monday night.


Police said though there were five men, the victim could recall only two because she had lost consciousness.

They added that they had definite clues into the case and would arrest the accused soon. The police have pressed more than five teams into action.

The incident took place on Monday around 6.30 p.m. when the victim, who teaches English and computer at a coaching centre in Sultanpuri, was on her way home with a colleague.

“The duo started walking towards the railway lines which is 3 kilometres from the coaching centre. Near the railway lines, three men passed lewd comments at her and her colleague protested. The miscreants then beat him up. The colleague ran away,” said Sharad Aggarwal, DCP (west).

“The three men then dragged the victim to a ditch behind the bushes near the railway tracks where she was raped.”

A policeman spotted the victim and helped her.
