Three men, who rob bed women at gunpoint, were apprehended in south Delhi, police said on Tuesday.

Amit Tomar, 24, and Vicky, 22, were arrested from Tughlaqabad and Pul Prahladpur on May 20, Chhaya Sharma, deputy commissioner of police (south) said, adding that their third accomplice — a minor boy — has been detained for questioning.

Police said the gang had recently targeted a foreigner, a girl from the North-East and an NGO activist near Select City Walk in Saket.

"Amit told us that he has two girl friends but his earnings were not sufficient to meet their expenses. In order to make easy money and live a luxurious life, he planned to rob girls who would travel alone in autorickshaws during late hours," DCP Sharma said.

According to police, stolen mobile phones, debit and credit cards, purses, two motorcycles and a pistol, along with four empty cartridges have been  recovered and 11 cases worked out, with the arrests.
