The capital continues to witness a sharp rise in rape, sexual harassment and molestation cases even after the December 16 barbaric gang rape of a paramedical student.
Three cases of rape, including a gang rape, and four molestation cases have been reported to police over the past two days.
While the gang rape was reported from outer Delhi’s Alipur area where a 20-year-old woman was abducted in a car and subsequently drugged and raped by five men at a house, a Delhi University student was raped by a friend in east Delhi’s Shakarpur.
The third rape was reported also from east Delhi’s Mandawali where a 21-year-old girl from UP was raped allegedly by two cousins on Sunday night. Police have arrested the accused, identified as Ajay Gupta and Deepak Gupta.
