Chief minister Sheila Dikshit awarded 34 photographers for capturing the mood of Delhi in the photography contest ‘Picture Perfect Delhi - 2012’ organised in December.

Dikshit also inaugurated a photo exhibition at Central Park, Connaught Place, where the winning entries and other interesting works have been put on display.

Apart from the winners, who were given a cash prize by Dikshit, 150 photographers were given a copy of their work, signed by the chief minister.

According to officials, the government had received close to 24,000 entries for the competition. The photographs showcased Delhi in all its shades and hues through the eyes of people. The winning entries were selected by a special jury headed by renowned photographer Raghu Rai.
