Ajay Chadha appointed ITBP chief, Joshi to head BSF

The government on Tuesday appointed Ajay Chadha, special secretary (internal security) in the home ministry, as Director General of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP).

According to an official press release, Subhash Joshi, director general of the elite National Security Guard (NSG) has been appointed as director general, Border Security Force (BSF).

He will be replaced by Arvind Ranjan, who was serving as special director general of the BSF.

The release said the appointments will be effective from the dates these officers assume charge of their posts.
