Annual Prize distribution ceremony at New Era
New Era Public School, Mayapuri celebrated its 53rd annual prize distribution ceremony. More than 500 students were awarded prizes for academic excellence, sports, attendance and co-curricular activities. The students of the senior school traced the journey of women in ‘Nari- Ek Katha ’ since ancient times. Director and founder principal Usha Chopra applauded the young achievers for their exceptional performance and appreciated the parents for being a guiding force. Principal, Vandana Chawla emphasized the importance of participation for confidence building among the youth.
Dr Amita Chauhan, Chairperson of Amity International Schools was felicitated with a Shodan (Black Belt) for her outstanding contribution to the nation in encouraging and promoting Karate in Amity International Schools by World Japan Seigo-Kai-Karate-do-Japan association. World Karate Chief, Soshi Isamu Kamagata conferred the award on Chauhan. She said, “I can proudly say that my children deserve the laurels they are bringing back from karate championships, they truly deserve it.” Amity International Schools located at Saket, Pushp Vihar, Noida and Vasundhara are official Seigo-Kai Training Centres in India.
Pathways World School, Gurgaon has been chosen as the ‘Best Innovative K–12 School (National)’ in the Indian Education Congress Awards which recognizes excellence in the Education sector. The evening was preceded by a Conference - ‘Rethinking Return on Education’ in which Prabhat Jain, Director, Pathways Schools was the guest speaker. The two day conference was designed to inform, engage and explore key policy developments and innovative case studies.
Springdales School, Pusa Road hosted the Annual Music Competition. The students sang in different languages from all over the world, taking cue from the school motto ‘Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam’. Over three hundred students from class VI-XII participated. The competition was judged by the seasoned musicians of Eka Band who were impressed by the choice of songs and their renditions.
