The Trinamool Congress chief had on Thursday met Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and is believed to have discussed the possible candidate for the presidential polls due in July.

Banerjee reached the Race Course Road residence of the Prime Minister on Friday evening.

At the meeting, she is understood to have also sought a three-year moratorium on repayment of loan to the Centre.

Her meeting with the Prime Minister also assumes significance as it comes on the eve of the meeting of chief ministers on NCTC issue.

She has been vocal in her opposition to the anti-terror organisation terming it as against the principles of federal structure.
