Ahead of the assembly elections, the Delhi BJP on Friday said that it will provide houses to the Capital's 40 lakh slum dwellers if it won the polls.

Accusing the Congress of betraying the slum dwellers, Delhi BJP president Vijay Goel said "each and every slum dweller" will be given a house if his party won.

The BJP will organise a rally for slum dwellers on Sunday, he said. "The slum-dwellers have been cheated for the last 15 years by the Congress government. We will provide them affordable houses within fixed time frame," said Goel.

"The houses will be made though public-private partnership model," he added.
