BJP has sought removal of the Sheila Dikshit-led Congress government for the "deteriorating law and order" and "absence of governance" in the Capital.
Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party chief Vijay Goel said his party had prepared a "chargesheet" against the state government and will press upon president Pranab Mukherjee to use his constitutional power and sack the Congress government in Delhi.
"Even as the city has been witnessing brutal assaults on women, the chief minister has done nothing. She has failed on every fronts. She has not done anything to improve the deteriorating law and order situation," said Goel.
Even as chief minister Sheila Dikshit, her MP son Sandeep Dikhsit and Delhi social welfare minister Kiran Walia have been demanding the removal of Delhi Police commissioner Neeraj Kumar, Goel said, "It was on Dikshit's insistence that Kumar was appointed."
"If the chief minister really wants him out, she can remove the commissioner. But her government only passes the responsibility. She and her legislators always give lame excuses that the Delhi Police is not under the Delhi government's administrative control. The home minister has stated that Dikshit has not written a single letter to bring Delhi Police under her control," Goel said.
The BJP chief said as many as 14 children go missing in the Capital every day and in the last two years, nearly 7,200 cases of children being kidnapped were reported in the city.
"This speaks volumes about the condition of law and order in the city," said Goel.
He said the government had also failed to provide basic facilities like electricity, water, education etc to the citizens of Delhi.
“City residents came out on the streets to protest the hike in power tariff. Water supply and sewage management system have collapsed. The CAG has said that ambulances meant for patients are being used to ferry doctors and nurses,” Goel said.
