Bulandshahr BSP MLA's wife murdered in Delhi

BSP MLA Haji Aleem's wife was found dead with multiple stab wounds and a bullet lodged in her body at northeast Delhi's Jafarabad area late on Tuesday night.
Hazi Aleem, an MLA from Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr constituency, has reportedly gone to Mecca for Haj.

A case of murder has been registered against unknown persons. The police have been suspecting that a personal or political rivalry could be the motive behind the murder of 40-year-old Rehana. Further investigations into the matter are on, the police said.

Delhi: HIV patient gets 7 years' jail for robbery

A Delhi court has sentenced an HIV-positive man and his wife to seven years in jail for robbery and house trespassing. The court said there were no grounds for leniency on account of health since such crimes were on the rise and needed to be curbed.
