A 28-year-old businessman is battling for life after being stabbed for inadvertently brushing his shoulder against a local goon on Sunday evening, police said. Four men, including a juvenile, have been held.

The altercation took place below the elevated Barapullah Road in Nizamuddin when Devender Chaudhary and his cousin Sandeep were waiting for a business associate.

"Devender accidentally bumped into one Mohammad Qadir, 55, leader of the local hawkers' union," said an officer.

Qadir flared up and began hurling abuses at Devender. He called in his aides and attacked Devender.  He  and Sandeep were rushed to AIIMS where Devender is in a critical condition.
