A video tape has surfaced that allegedly has recordings of two builder brothers in conversation with Amit Shah's aide, says a report on news channel CNN-IBN.

The report says that two Ahmedabad-based builder brothers, Raman Patel and Dashrath Patel, recorded their conversation with Yashpal Chudasama and Ajay Patel, Shah's associates, in March and April this year after the CBI took over the investigation into the murders of Sohrabuddin and his wife Kauser Bi in November 2005.

The report says that the conversation, which is in Gujarati, suggests that Shah's associates were desperate to get him off the hook.

The Patels had allegedly been used to frame Sohrabuddin, but when the CBI investigation started picking up they recorded their conversation with Yashpal Chudasama and Ajay Patel to protect themselves, the report said.

CNN-IBN says that the video is with the CBI now. But whether the 'sting video' can become a crucial evidence in court is yet to be seen.
