The first incident saw a 14-year-old class eight student being raped allegedly at knifepoint by her neighbour. The incident took place at her own residence in east Delhi’s Khajuri Khas on Saturday afternoon.

“According to the victim, the accused, later identified as Aalim, forced himself on her and sexually assaulted her. He entered after scaling the wall of her house even as her mother slept in the next room,” said an officer.

After raping her, he threatened to kill her if she revealed the incident to anyone and fled. The victim, however, narrated it to her mother as soon as he left and a case was registered subsequently.

“Aalim was arrested immediately after the victim’s medical examination confirmed sexual assault. He was later sent to judicial custody,” said the officer.

In another incident, two women waiting in queue at pizza joint in south Delhi’s Defence Colony were molested by two men. The women had first chose to ignore their slew of lewd comments on Saturday evening.

Police said the incident was reported around 6.30pm. The women were simply standing in a queue when the accused duo, later identified as one Tushar and Omi Kumar, started passing lewd comments at them. “When the victims didn’t pay them any heed, the men molested them,” said an officer.

Incensed onlookers caught hold of the duo even as the victims informed the police control room. Both were arrested later.

In the third incident, a 15-year-old student of class eight was molested by her distant relative at northwest Delhi’s Begumpur village when her parents were away at the local Shani Temple on Saturday evening.

“The accused had approached her after he realised that her parents were away and touched her inappropriately. She related the incident to them as soon as they returned and a case was registered,” an officer said.
