Cash carrier robbed of Rs. 14 lakh in east Delhi

A cash carrier was robbed of Rs. 14 lakhs by two bike-borne assailants in east Delhi on Monday evening.

Identified as Rakesh, the victim, who is employed at a finance company at Connaught Place, was waylaid at Rishabh Vihar near Anand Vihar around 7 pm.

“The victim was on his scooter and had reached his client's office when the men, who were wearing helmets, confronted him and fired in the air to scare him,” said an officer.

According to police, the men then snatched a bag containing the cash from him before fleeing from the spot. A case of robbery has been registered at the Anand Vihar Police Station.
