While people continue to enjoy Chacha Chaudhary, Pinki and Billu comics, which were immensely popular 10 to 15 years ago, the customers are not children anymore.

"Ninety per cent of our clients are adults. The other 10% are children dragged into the stall by their parents," said Mithilesh Anand, marketing executive, Diamond Comics, publishers of these popular comic books.

For most people who come to its stall in hall number 11 at Pragati Maidan, it is nostalgia that makes them go gaga over the comics.

"This store is a gold mine. There are so many amazing comic books here. They even have much older ones like Phantom and Mandrake," said Ritika Mahindroo, a college student. My mother was a big fan of Mandrake and I am taking a couple of Mandrake comics for her. I have bought Pinki and Billu comics for myself."

"I am here because of nostalgia. These comics remind me of my childhood," said Pritika Mandal, who bought two Chacha Chaudhary comics. The stall also has these comic books in English.

"The ones in English are selling better than those in Hindi. The children who come in usually buy Superman and Batman. If their parents ask them to read comics from their time, they prefer the ones in English," said Anand from Diamond Comics.

Rita Goel, 47, and her children, Diksha (25) and Richa (22) chanced upon the stall while looking for some other books.

"This stall is such a surprise! We didn't know that these comics were still available. Books are a great place to find stuff like this," said Goel, who wanted to buy Chandamama comics but couldn't find them.

The book fair is on till Sunday.
