Delhi Police have filed a chargesheet in a court here against Geeta Arora alias Sonu Punjaban, accused of allegedly running an inter-state prostitution racket from posh localities in New Delhi.

The alleged kingpin of infamous flesh trade, who has so far not been able to secure bail since her arrest on November 19 last year, has been charged under various provisions of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, dealing with inducing customers and supplying them with prostitutes.

In the chargesheet, recently filed before Metropolitan Magistrate Ravinder Singh, the police said there were ample evidence to proceed with the prosecution of Geeta and 14 other co-accused, including alleged sex workers and pimps.

She along with co-accused was caught red-handed while striking a deal to supply prostitutes to a decoy customer, an undercover cop, at Saket, a posh locality in south Delhi, the chargesheet said.

While the fourteen co-accused have been enlarged on bail, Geeta’s various such pleas have been dismissed by the courts on the ground that her role was pivotal in the racket and was also an accused in heinous offence of murder.

Earlier, the police had claimed to have cracked an inter-state prostitution racket with the arrest of Geeta, ten alleged pimps and four sex workers in New Delhi.
