The Capital received light showers on Tuesday evening which brought down the temperature by a couple of degrees. The maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded at 22 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature at 10.8 degree Celsius.

For Wednesday, the Met department has predicted a partly cloudy sky with light rainfall during early morning. The maximum temperature, however, will remain around 20 degree Celsius. “The weather will remain a bit cloudy on Wednesday and there are chances of a rainfall. We expect the sky to be clear in the afternoon,” said BP Yadav, director, forecast, Indian Metrological Department.

The Met department expects the temperature to go up next week. “By tomorrow, the weather will clear up. There will be a fall in the night temperature. However, the western disturbance will affect North West India around February 11, leading to increase in temperature,” Yadav added.

There are chances of shallow or moderate fog to develop on Wednesday morning. “There could be a shallow fog at the airport and CAT II operations conditions can develop. After that, I don’t think there’ll be any fog at the airport,” said Dr RK Jenamani, director, Met office, IGI airport.
