If you are applying for admission to Delhi University under the sports or extra-curricular activities (ECA) quota, chances are you will get all the exercise you need before the commencement of the actual trials for selection by making a dash from one college to the other.

Students applying to Delhi University have been left in a dilemma after the dates released for the trials for admissions through sports or ECA quotas appeared to be clashing for various colleges in both the north and south campuses.

Sports trials and fitness tests at colleges such as Jesus and Mary College, Miranda House, Kamala Nehru College and Gargi College have been scheduled for June 20. In fact, the fitness test at Miranda House and the trial at Jesus and Mary College are in the same time slot (7am to 11am) which will make it difficult for students to attend both since one college is in south campus and the other in north.  Some of the sports trials at Shri Ram College of Commerce, Hindu College and Hansraj College will also fall on the same day.

Similarly, ECA trials at many colleges are also scheduled on the same dates, which will cause severe inconvenience to aspirants. Shubhangana Vishwanathan, who is seeking admission under the ECA quota for dance, is worried about having trials for three colleges on the same day. “I don’t know how I am going to plan this. Thankfully, Kamala Nehru and Gargi College are located next to each other but their time slots are the same. However, I’ll have to rush to Janki Devi Memorial College as soon as I am done with these two,” she said.
