Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha wrote to PM Manmohan Singh to appear before the joint parliamentary committee (JPC) on 2G scam to “clear your name” following allegations levelled against him by former telecom minister A Raja.

Sinha, a JPC member, said the PM should also suggest to finance minister P Chidambaram to do so and request JPC chairman PC Chacko to call Raja as a witness before the committee.

He said Raja had levelled “serious allegations” against the PM and Chidambaram.

“Any hesitation on your part will only confirm the feeling that you have something to hide,” Sinha told the PM.
