The party has demanded full protection for Christians in Mandala on the eve of the congregation, which has the "full support" of the BJP government and has been projected by the organisers as ‘ghar wapsi (homecoming)' celebration.

State Congress president Suresh Pachouri alleged that Aseemanand hatched the conspiracy of terror attacks at the event itself.
