Cops foil theft attempt at ATM

An attempt to break into a Punjab National Bank (PNB) ATM installed at outer Delhi's Mongolpuri was stalled by two beat policemen late on Friday night.


Police said the two policemen were patrolling in R block when they heard a recurring metallic sound from near the ATM.

"They saw four to five men fiddling with the ATM machine with some instruments and were able to chase them away successfully," police said. There was Rs. 7 lakh in the machine.
