Teen gang raped, thrown into well


Jaipur: A 16-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and gang raped before being thrown into a well at a village in Dausa late on Monday.

According to the police, the victim a student of Class 10 was studying at her residence when four men barged in and abducted her. They took her to a nearby field and raped her. When the girl resisted and screamed, the accused threw her into a well and fled. On hearing the noise, villagers reached the spot and rescued the victim. They also nabbed one of the accused and beat him up before handing him over to the police.

Meanwhile, the victim's family alleged relatives of the accused were pressuring them not to report the case.

Five-year-old sexually abused

Guwahati: A five-year-old girl was sexually abused by a 24-year-old man in southern Assam's Karimganj district and was battling for her life at a government hospital on Tuesday. The police said the girl went missing on Monday evening when she went to a local shop and was found in a semi-conscious state at a nearby paddy field on Tuesday.
