A day after the CISF blamed Delhi Metro for the leak of CCTV footage of couples making out in empty trains, the DMRC has constituted an inquiry.

"We have already started investigating into the matter. We are also cross-checking if these footages were taken in Delhi Metro trains," Anuj Dayal, chief spokesperson of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said.

The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), which looks after the safety and security of commuters in metro stations, has made it clear that they have no access to the CCTVs installed inside the metro trains.

"We monitor CCTV footages captured inside the stations and not inside the trains. These are two different networks and not linked," said Udyan Banerjee, DIG, CISF.

Though the CISF sources claimed that the footage, which made it to the internet in the form of two to eight minutes video clips, were captured by CCTVs installed inside the metro trains and might have been leaked from the central control room of the Delhi Metro, Banerjee, however, questioned the credibility of the claim.

"How would one establish if these were shot in Delhi Metro trains? Delhi Metro logo is not seen anywhere in these clips," Banerjee said.

He however said that CISF would take up the matter of commuters’ privacy in Metro stations with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). "We will ensure that couples do not get intimate at stations and also there is no leakage of CCTV footages from the server," a senior CISF official said.
