As students gear up for Holi celebrations, the Delhi University has already put security arrangements and strict guidelines in place to ensure that the revelry does not go out of hand.

The arrangements will focus on ensuring that celebrations do not turn into hooliganism, especially against women.

Apart from enlisting the help of Delhi Police and DTC, the university faculty and staff have also been roped in to avoid any impropriety.

According to the guidelines, playing of Holi during working hours will not be permitted in any educational institution. Outsiders will be prohibited from entering colleges, departments and hostels which will be regulated through identity cards.

The police will be deployed at strategic locations on campus, apart from mobile patrolling.
