DU ka Dancing dhamaaka!

Foot thumping music and head turning style and attitude, girls from Delhi University’s Daulat Ram College partied during the HT City Fresh on Campus like there will be no tomorrow!


While the weather was as hot as the girls, the party actually kick-started with the ‘Veet Be the Diva Contest’, where first year girls put their best foot forward — in dance and ramp walk rounds — to emerge as the winner. The spirit of the contest was quite sporting, well literally, as kabaddi player Madhu Bartwal showed that she is no less when it comes to dance and jhatkas and bagged the title!

The emcee for the bash, Manas Katyal, kept the crowd on its feet with his witty one-liners and hilarious questions. The party then followed a session of full-on fun dancing as even senior girls joined the fuchchas on the dance floor, to shake a leg to numbers such as Chikni Chameli, Lungi Dance, Badtameez Dil, Party all Night and Brown Rang, among many other peppy songs.

Delhi: HIV patient gets 7 years' jail for robbery

A Delhi court has sentenced an HIV-positive man and his wife to seven years in jail for robbery and house trespassing. The court said there were no grounds for leniency on account of health since such crimes were on the rise and needed to be curbed.
