The Capital may witness yet another spell of rainfall on Tuesday and Wednesday as another western disturbance is set to hit the region.

“The disturbance is likely to cause low pressure over Central-Pakistan and Rajasthan. This, in association with anticyclone activity over Bay of Bengal, may facilitate influx of moisture into the region, which may cause thunderstorms and rain,” said a regional IMD official.

The rain is likely to be very light in the Delhi-NCR region and is expected to have a cooling effect for the next one or two days.

On Monday, the maximum temperature was recorded as 33.8 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year. The minimum was recorded as 17.9 degrees Celsius, one degree below normal. The maximum and minimum temperatures on Tuesday are expected to be 34 degrees and 18 degrees, respectively.
