Delhi: engineer robbed by gang of 4

An engineer was waylaid, assaulted and robbed by a gang of four in Vasant Kunj on Thursday morning, police said.

The victim — identified as Neeraj Awasthi — is a senior engineer.  He told the police that he was on a morning walk when he was waylaid by the men around 6 am.

"According to the victim, he was on  MG Road when four men on two scooters intercepted him," said an officer. The two-wheelers, did not have registration plates.

Before Awasthi could understand what was going on, the men demanded that he hand over his wallet and one of them snatched a gold chain from Awasthi's neck and fled.
