The Delhi government on Monday announced a compensation of Rs.15 lakh to the family of the gangrape victim and also offered a government job to one member of the family who died on Saturday.
The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting presided over by chief minister Sheila Dikshit, said an official.
The cabinet has also announced that a government job will be offered to one member of the victim's family.
The woman was brutally raped December 16 and died on Saturday in Singapore where she was flown for better treatment. She was cremated in New Delhi on Sunday morning.
