Delhi was colder than Shimla on Monday morning with the Capital recording a minimum temperature of 6.6 degrees Celsius. The hill queen  recorded a minimum temperature of 7.3 degrees Celsius.

The temperature in Delhi, three degrees below normal, was the coldest of the season.

The maximum temperature, however, was recorded at 23.8 degrees, a degree below normal. According to the weatherman, the temperatures dipped because of the recent Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir that has brought rain to the city last week.

The temperatures in the coming week are expected to be higher though shallow fog is expected. “Tuesday morning will be misty and foggy but the sky will be clear during the day,” said met department official.
