Cracking its whip on illegal construction in the city, the North and East Delhi Corporation have demolished illegal portions in 60 properties and sealed illegal portions in 13 properties falling in Rohini, Karol Bagh and city zones of north corporation and Shahdara (South) zone of east corporation.

Building departments of the respective zones carried out the action with the help of the local police.

In Rohini zone, where 28 properties were targeted, entire floors were destroyed because they had been constructed without permissions.

In Shahdara South zone, where 33 properties were targeted, six of the buildings were sealed.

The rest lost their illegal partitions, extensions and walls as they were built either by encroaching on public land or without permissions. These buildings were located at Ramesh Park, Mandawali, Pandav Nagar, Patparganj, Laxmi Nagar and Madhu Vihar among others.
