Telugu Desam parliamentary party leader Nama Nageshwara Rao has requested Central Vigilance Commissioner Pradeep Kumar to direct the CBI to investigate graft allegations against YSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy “in complete totality, without curtailing the scope of investigations and without succumbing to external pressure.”

“Despite having proof of the plunder done  by the family of late chief minister YS Rajashekhar Reddy, the country’s statutory investigating agencies have maintained an indifferent attitude in probing the charges”, Rao said in a six-paged letter.

A Delhi court has sentenced an HIV-positive man and his wife to seven years in jail for robbery and house trespassing. The court said there were no grounds for leniency on account of health since such crimes were on the rise and needed to be curbed.
