Mayor of East Delhi Annapurna Mishra has sought to blame the PWD for the building collapse that occurred on Wednesday at Tahirpur.
Two members of the same family were killed in the incident that took place when the PWD was remodeling a drain in front of the building.
“The foundation of the building was 5 feet deep whereas the PWD was building a ten feet deep drain on the location that clearly led to a dangerous situation. The PWD officials should have asked the family to vacate the premises which would have saved their lives," said Mishra.
