Despite battling hard to stay alive, the 23-year-old gangrape victim has been constantly asking about the condition of the man who was accompanying her on the night of the incident.
The woman, who is in Safdarjung Hospital, had been insisting on meeting him, in spite of assurances from doctors and her family that he was okay.
On Thursday, the man who had sustained severe injuries while trying to protect her from the rapists, paid her a visit at 9pm.
“She was very concerned about him. He is like family to us. Our families are distantly related, so she was worried about his well-being,” the victim’s brother told HT.
He added, “He didn’t go close, but saw her from a distance. There were tears in her eyes.”
