Fog: Woman killed, 11 injured in accidents

A 40-year-old woman was killed and 11 others injured in separate accidents caused by dense fog in the city in the past two days, the police said.

A woman named Bholi died in an accident in Burari on Sunday night while nine others were injured, the police said. The incident took place when a mini truck hit a car at 10:30pm. The police attributed the incident to heavy fog.  All the victims were taken to Babu Jagjeevan Ram Hospital where Bholi was declared brought dead.

In another incident, a 25-year-old man was injured after a truck first hit a car and then another in Munirka around 10pm on Sunday.  Another person was injured in an accident at Timarpur on Sunday night.
