Four arrested for train robbery in New Delhi

Four persons, including a Nepal national, were arrested in the national capital for their alleged involvement in a train robbery last week in which jewellery and other articles worth over Rs. 5.60 lakh was looted, police said on Tuesday.


Four armed men had on December 27 night boarded Himalayan Queen Express from New Delhi Railway Station and robbed passengers of their valuable.

The arrested have been identified as Sanjay Thapa, the Nepal national, Irfan, Rafiullah and Deepak.

They were arrested yesterday and a gold chain, bangle, earring, two rings, an ATM Card and three mobile phones were recovered.
