GD Goenka World School, Gurgaon hosts Annual Day

GD Goenka World School, Sohna Road, Gurgaon, recently hosted its  Annual Day at the Epicentre, Gurgaon. Actor Joyshree Arora was the chief guest while well-known sitar maestro Prateek Chaudhuri, and Renu Goenka, vice chairperson of GD Goenka Group, were the guests of honour. The show was a journey through the seasons potrayed by the students through song and dance. In the evening show, the audience were enthralled by the ballet 'Little Krishna'. Principal Dr Neeta Bali read out the annual report.

DLF Public School, Ghaziabad,  won the Top Global Prize at the 'School Enterprise Challenge International' a competition of  Entrepreneurial Excellence. The school received the honour for producing the best business project 'DLF Craft Hut'.

DLFites also impressed the judges by considering all three of the 'People, Profit & Planet' criteria of the project. The project was undertaken by students of class XI commerce stream, providing them hands-on experience as young entrepreneurs. The students used profit of the project for the welfare of the less privileged children.

Two students of Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj, Rhea Sharma and Ravneet Sandhu participated in the Jenesys programme under the aegis of Ministry of HRD to visit Japan for a 10-day initiative. Under the Kizuna Bond project between India and Japan, a total of 180 students were shortlisted by
the CBSE.

The programme  included a visit to the areas affected by Great East Japan Earthquake, visit to the disaster areas and reconstruction sites. The 10-day visit sensitised the students about the affected families, their problems and rehabilitation.

Zeal, enthusiasm, hardwork, Indian Culture and patriotism marked the Annual Day Celebrations at Ram-Eesh Institution, Greater Noida. Dr RK Khandal, Vice-Chancellor, Gautam Buddha Technical University was the Chief Guest. The evening started with the Ganesha Stuti. Dr RC Sharma, Chairman Rame-Eesh Institutions, welcomed the guests and the audience. The students performed on Punjabi folk dance beats  and Kathak .It was followed by the Annual Prize Distribution ceremony. Pratibha Sharma, Managing Director Ram-Eesh Institutions presented the vote of thanks.
