NRI Anmol Sarna was attacked twice allegedly by the two arrested security guards Naresh Mishra and Surender Bali within a gap of around 20 minutes on the intervening night of September 13 and 14, police sources said.

While during the first assault Anmol was only manhandled, the second assault was more severe with the security guards using their batons to attack him.
An investigating officer said Anmol and his four friends, Shivang Gambhir alias Chikki, Madhav Bhandari, Rhytham and Pranel Shah, had taken the drugs in Pranel’s bedroom.
“After taking LSD the five friends came out of the flat and began walking in the park located within the premises of the South Park Apartments. An hour later, they felt thirsty due to the effect of the drug and they went to the flat to drink water,” said the officer.
Minutes after drinking water, Anmol got restless and turned violent. He went to one of the bedrooms and broke the glass of a window. When his friends tried to stop him, Anmol picked up a vase and damaged the TV.
This made Pranel’s father KD Shah furious and he pushed all of them out of the flat and locked from inside, the officer said while describing the sequence of events.
Court rap for cops
Meanwhile, a city court on Saturday granted bail to Bhuvan and Mehul while Lamba was sent to Tihar Jail for two days. The two were freed on bail after the police failed to show recovery of drugs for their personal or commercial use from their possession.
Metropolitan Magistrate Deepak Wason, however, pulled up the Delhi Police, saying that instead of investigating Sarna’s death they were probing drug supply racket. He said it can be investigated as a parallel case but murder probe is necessary at this stage.
Probe into drugs racket
The Delhi police has decided to come down heavily on drug dealers who smuggle high-end drugs such as LSD and cocaine from countries such as China and Hong Kong through couriers and supply them to students and youngsters in Delhi and NCR.
Though their investigation into the drug supply with regard to Sarna’s case has hit a dead end because of its final lead traced to China, senior Delhi police officers claimed that they would seek the help of Interpol in busting the international network of the drug peddlers.
Dushyant Lamba, the main LSD supplier, and his two associates Mehul Swaroop and Bhuvan Sharma were arrested on Thursday for allegedly supplying the drug to Anmol and his four friends. Police are now looking for people who helped the three arrested youths in destroying or eliminating the banned substance.
Interrogation of Lamba revealed that he procured drugs from his China-based contact Eric whom he met on the internet last year.
Lamba, a drug addict himself, took to the illegal trade in January this year and he used to place orders of LSD through e-mails and received the consignment through courier.
Police have received FedEx receipts from Lamba who was made the payment through a money transfer service.
“It has been learnt that the LSD sheet was hidden inside books and greeting cards. Lamba received orders in bulk from his clients in Delhi and NCR over the phone, watsapp and BBM messages. Thereafter he used to send out e-mails and placed orders for LSD. The drug was code-worded as ‘rabbit’,” the officer added.
