Home minister Sushilkumar Shinde is expected to receive on Wednesday the ministry’s probe report into the Delhi Police’s failure to handle protestors, who heckled West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee and entered the minister’s house earlier in April.

Sources close to Shinde indicated the minister — who was expected to formally receive the report on Wednesday— would take a decision on Delhi Police officers soon after examining findings of the one-man panel of Khurshid Ahmed Ganai.

The Ganai panel is understood to have attributed the ransacking of Shinde’s house and SFI protestors heckling Bannerjee and her finance minister Amit Mitra outside the Planning Commission to lack of coordination within Delhi Police.
