It’s getting hot: mercury hits 33

The summer is back. Tuesday was the hottest day of the month with the maximum temperature recorded at 33.1 degree Celsius and minimum at 15.8 degree Celsius.

Wednesday is expected to be hotter still by at least one degree Celsius, according to the Indian Meteorology department (IMD).

“The sky will remain clear on Wednesday and maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 34 degree Celsius and 16 degree Celsius respectively,” said a IMD official.

The humidity oscillated between 33 and 93 percent, the official added.
