Arrested Mumbai 26/11 attack handler Zabiuddin Ansari alias Abu Jundal on Tuesday night identified the location of 26/11 control room in Qaidabad, Karachi as well as the Lashkar-e-Taiba's main terror training camp at Shewai Nullah in Muzaffarabad on Google Earth Maps.
Trained at Ughi camp in Manshera, he told Indian interrogators that Lashkar terror training was alive and kicking in Pakistan. Jundal was detained in Damman, western Saudi Arabia, in May 2011 and was deported to India on an Air India flight on June 21.
Top official sources said Jundal told investigators that he met LeT chief Hafiz Muhammed Saeed at Majid Qasia, Chauburji in Lahore soon after he fled India to Pakistan via Bangladesh in 2006.
He told interrogators about his meeting with LeT's chief operational commander Zaki ur Rehman Lakhvi in August 2009 at Adiala jail in Rawalpindi and that Lakhvi holds a daily durbar at the high security facility where he meets nearly 15 to 20 people every day.
While Jundal claimed he had gone to meet Lakhvi to give him sweets after he married the daughter of a civil contractor in Muzaffarabad in March 2009, sleuths suspect Lakhvi had passed on instructions to Jundal for a future attack at the meeting.
Also, Jundal was high up in the Lashkar hierarchy is evident as Lakhvi's meeting was fixed by his personal aide Abu Bakr soon after Jundal placed a request.
His interrogation has also revealed that IISC attack main accused Abu Hamza alias Mohammed Ramadan had died in Pakistan in 2009 and that the 26/11 control room was set-up near a mosque close to Meler bus stop in Qaidabad, Karachi.
Jundal was in the control room from November 24 to November 28, 2008 with Zaki, Muzammil, Abu Qahafa, Sajid Mir, Zarar Shah and Abu Al Qama. He has also identified the specific location of 26/11 accused Sajid Mir house in Rawalpindi, on Google map.
Meanwhile, details emerging about Jundal's arrest reveal he was picked up through an electronic intercept in a third country by India's Intelligence Bureau (IB) and was pinned down in Damman after he arrived from Pakistan on April 26, 2011 on a fake passport.
The Indian agencies had to send DNA samples and blood samples collected from Ansari's family in Beed to convince the Saudis that Ansari was a wanted man in India.
He was sent to Damman to recruit and finance terror attacks against India with 16,000 Riyals given to him by Muzammil, whom he describes as 'rather slow' in comparison to Lakhvi.
Jundal also claimed that he was badly beaten and tortured by Saudi security police because they waned the reason for his Damman visit. While the 26/11 accused still has to give details about the Lashkar's infiltration in India, he denies meeting David Coleman Headley.
He has, however, confirmed the presence of Aurangabad arms haul accused Fayyaz Kagzi in Saudi Arabia and 7/11 Mumbai train attack accused AR Rahil Sheikh in Karachi.
