Every year, we see students from all over India and other parts of the world coming to Delhi to apply to  DU. But how many really make it to the university once the cut-offs are announced? This year, like, last year and the year previous to that, the cut-offs have reached sky high and this has led to disappointment among many. Those who have made it to the first list are short of words when we asked them to express their feelings. While those who didn’t get the college or course of their preference, are hoping that the second cut-off list will bring them some respite. Here’s the good and the bad story.

Delhi: HIV patient gets 7 years' jail for robbery

A Delhi court has sentenced an HIV-positive man and his wife to seven years in jail for robbery and house trespassing. The court said there were no grounds for leniency on account of health since such crimes were on the rise and needed to be curbed.
