Tihar Jail inmates were trained in life-saving techniques by emergency medicine experts in the jail premises on Thurs-day.

In a three-hour session, doctors taught them casualty handling, soft tissue injury, besides hands-on training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and artificial breathing.

“We want to educate everyone about the dos and don’ts in an emergency situation,” said Dr Priyadarshini Pal Singh, HoD, accidents and emergency, Indraprastha Apollo Hospital.
