Just seconds after the Ayodhya verdict was announced by the Allahabad High Court, the young took upon the task of spreading messages of 'peace and secularism' through social networking websites. "We have built enough mosques and temples. Lets build the nation now," went a status message
on Facebook.

"Yes religion is important but NOT place of worship. And violence is not encouraged in any religion," goes a popular thread on micro-blogging website Twitter.

The Allahabad High Court on Thursday ruled that the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya was built on a site after demolishing a temple on it way back in 1528, and that the spot where a makeshift temple was built after razing the mosque in 1992 was indeed where Hindu god Ram was born.

"Ayodhya verdict saw culmination after 60 years. Sad. But the verdict is more secular than entire Parliament put together. Bravo Judges," posted a 22-year-old on Twitter.

"I hope everyone will accept the verdict......and there will be peace," appealed another youngster.

The Lucknow bench of the high court also declared that the land around the disputed site would be divided into three parts -- one for Hindus, another for Muslims and the third for Nirmohi Akhara, a Hindu sect and an original litigant in the case.
