Light drizzle expected to ring in winter chill

A light drizzle that the city received on Thursday evening is expected to bring in the winter chill.


Attributed to the western disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir which brought snowfall to many parts of Kashmir, the rainfall is expected to be just a one-day affair.

The weatherman has not forecast any rain in the coming days. "The city is expected to see a partly cloudy sky over the coming three days. No rainfall is expected," he said.

The maximum temperature on Thursday at 28.4 degrees, however, was three degrees above normal as the sky was overcast. The minimum was recorded at 9.3 degrees, a degree below normal.

On Friday, the maximum temperature is expected to be 25 degrees while the minimum is expected to be 10 degrees.

Fog is also expected in the morning hours.
