Lit fest at St. Mark’s, Meera Bagh

St. Mark's Senior Secondary School, Meera Bagh organised  'Lexicon'-a literary and language extravaganza recently. More than 900 students from various Delhi schools participated in the event.  Students recited poems, presented plays, dramatised fictional characters, showcased speaking skills in extempore and participated in the quiz. Anju Sehgal Gupta, literature & language expert, school of humanities, IGNOU and Sara Aulin, first secretary, cultural & commercial affairs, embassy of Sweden, were the special guests of honour. The event culminated with the prize distribution ceremony.

Darshan Academy , Kirpal Bagh organised its annual day celebration at the Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi. The event opened with the lamp lighting ceremony by the chief guest, Proff. Vivek Suneja, pro-vice-chancellor, University of Delhi. Senior coordinator of the school Veena Ahi presented the welcome address. Principal A .David presented the report highlighting various activities and achievements of students.

The school's annual magazine, 'Darshanika' was also released. Prizes and scholarships were awarded to the deserving students. The highlight of the day was the musical show 'Hearts Beating for Peace' in which more than 750 students participated. The event concluded with a vote of thanks.

JBM Global School, Expressway, Noida organised 'Aahwan' to promote sports as an integral part of a student's life. The seven day long sports carnival was declared open by Distt. Magistrate  of Gautam Buddha Nagar, KS Sundaram in the presence of London Olympic champions Vijay Kumar, Gagan Narang, Yogeshwar Dutt and Sandeep Singh (formerly the captain of Indian Hockey Team).

The programme started with the address by the principal of the school Upma Arora. Students from various schools participated in the march past, martial arts, various dances and fun filled races were a few to mention. The school manager Gurudutt Arora felicitated the winners.

Ramakrishna Senior Secondary School, Vikaspuri celebrated Prize Distribution ceremony. VK Jain, additional director general Doordarshan Bhawan was the chief guest  on the occasion and the guest of honour  was IP Aggarwal, chairman Triveni Educational and Social Welfare Society . The event began with the lamp lighting by the distinguished guests.

The annual report was presented by the Principal Dr. Mamta Aggarwal who highlighted the achievements of the students. The chief guest gave away the prizes in different categories . The day ended with the vote of thanks by the school chairman Prof YL Grover.
